They point down from a tab on the steering column inside the engine compartment to some linkage that changes the gear on an automatic transmission. On a floor shift it rotates the collar on the steering column that locks the steering wheel when you put it in park and turn the car off. Its reproduced but overpriced.

Note that the backdrive that locks the floor shifter with the ignition key didn't appear until the 1969 model year when the key moved to the steering column.

Is the 2nd from the left tapered on the bottom end? If so, I'll take it Murph.

Thanks Joe for adding this info....

Tru-Blue 442....I will double check them, but I dont think any of them are tapered at the end...i will follow up tomorrow...thanks
