Vista cruiser rear Last chance, its going to the scrap yard
The 10 bolt rear end out of my 67 Vista Cruiser. It has bad wheel bearings, gears are good and axles are good.. 3.08 non posi rear. Its going the scrap yard. I hate to see it go but I cant store it. It has the wide drums and brake shoes, one of the guys that was helping me change it threw away one of the wheel cylinders.
Free, come and get it.

Ya agreed this is not an item you want to toss if at all possible. Even a pit free housing is getting hard to find. Good axles are wanted all the time. When the bearings go they spin weld to the axle if let go long enough. Seen it a few times. A replacement axle is the way to go when this happens. If the bearings haven't spun welded to the axles they are desirable cores. If you were closer Id take it off your hands in a heart beat. Is the housing pit free? Are the drums good? Hell you could make a few hundred parting this baby.

Yes, I couldn't find wheel bearings for it. I tried for several weeks with no luck. A scrap guy is coming to pick it up tomorrow. I just dont have room to store it. Maybe I'll hang onto the drums and the axles, they are still good.
OK, I stripped the good stuff including the spring perches.
This can be closed now.
