Service and Parts Manuals

Hey All,

Last year I posted that I had acquired a collection of GM Service Manuals and Master Parts Catalogues.

Unfortunately, I was the victim of not 1 but 3 hacker attacks over the past year. Consequently I lost the PM replies I had received; along with a lot of other important files. It's been a process trying to remember all the sites I had bookmarked...well, anyone who's been in the same boat will know where I'm coming from.

So, I am once again attempting to free up some space in my upper shop by inviting PM's for the Oldsmobile Literature that I have.

I have Manuals ranging from 1937 up to the early 80's and many Muscle Era Master Parts Catalogues, many with the GM Hard Covers that were found on the Parts Dept. counter before the days of Micro-fiche. F-85s, Cutlass, Big Body Cars. I have books for Olds, Buick, Chev. Pontiac & Cadillac models.

Many are GM Canada but there are some US Publications as well. Many of these are not in reprint. All are original and were used in a large GM Dealership in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Many books have Mechanic's Notations sprinkled throughout....those alone are very interesting. Some books have no entries at all. The books, for the most part, are in very good to excellent condition. They are all "honest" books used by the guys who worked on the cars for a living.

Everything is very reasonably priced.....pretty much "swap meet" pricing, not like some of the outrageous prices being asked on eBay. I use the mail system for shipping and send by the least costly method.

Here's a list of what I have left for Oldsmobile. This will save you time requesting something I can't help you with. Photos are available for anything that may hold interest.

Shop Manuals Full Size
1937
1950-51
1954
1956

1967
1969
1973
1982 Big Body Cars
1982-83 A Body Ciera only
1982-83 J Body Firenza only

New Product Information Manuals.

1968-69-70-71-73-75-76-77-79

These were issued to dealerships before the current year's full-size manual became available for distribution.
They contained all the changes/new mechanisms that the "new" vehicles
incorporated over and above the previous years models.
These are about the size of a 3/8"-1/2" thick, car magazine. Crammed full of
new info and could be used in conjunction with the previous year's full size
manual. If you have the previous years full size manual, with this book, you
didn't need to buy the present year's new full size manual.

Master Parts Cataloges

1938-51 Cat. # 342 Chassis
1952 Master Parts List of Body Parts (US printing)

1 only; Autronic Eye, Power Aerial and Delco Radio, Master Service Manual in a GM Hard Shell Binder. Covers early '50 cars with 6 volt systems for all models of GM cars. About 4-5" thick. I've never seen one before.

I have several empty GM binders available as well.

Thanks in advance for any interest.
