Restored '70-2 Cutlass/442 Reverse Lamps
Here is a pair of '70-2 reverse lamps - restored and ready to install
>Overall a nice set - they were stripped clean, replated and then sprayed with a satin clearcoat. Insides sprayed w/catalyzed white epoxy paint for reflectivity (like the factory did).
>The side/edge of one lamp had some minor pitting (see pic)
>Includes new bulbs (not in pics), new gaskets, new mounting screws and new chrome lens screws
>The green wire for one of the lamps has some discolored areas along it and a shallow scrape in one area....still perfectly functional and not scraped down to the copper wire itself
>You'll need to get new lenses for these
$75 + shipping to the lower 48. Payment by check, MO or PayPal Friends and Family.....or add 3% of total cost ($75 + shipping cost) for regular PayPal.

Thanks for the good words Bee. I'm not looking to acquire any more right now and quite frankly I need to see "cores" of parts like this in person to make the kind of condition assessment I need before buying (if I did happen to be looking/buying).

Koda - I don't have any 71/2 tail light setups done right now. I have one pair of cores but the wiring is a bit stiff and discolored on those and I haven't yet figured out how to replace the wiring on those since the wires run through a larger round grommet plug (protects/isolates wires where they run through the holes in the trunk pan) and the wires seem really well stuck inside the rubber plug....almost as if the rubber was poured around the wires. Maybe it's that the rubber grommet has shrunk tightly around the wires after this many years...I'm still experimenting with them.
"Coloring" the tail lamp housings is another issue.......different vs. the reverse lamps and not really practical. I've painted them before but that's never as "convincing" as the real thing if that matters.
Thanks for asking.
