Parting out 1969 Cutlass "S" - Updated

Parts are from a 1969 Cutlass S parts car and the car that I'm working on. Trying to clean up the garage as I'm starting the rebuild phase. Let me know if there are any parts off of the parts car you might be interested in, as it's headed to the crusher in the next couple weeks. If you need additional pics of items, please ask.

1969 parts (all plus shipping) I'd rather not ship bigger items (often in Dallas and will deliver to Austin), but I will. If prices are out of line, shoot me an offer.

Factory Front Disc set up - SOLD
Battery tray - $15
Dual snorkel air cleaner - SOLD
SSII rims - SOLD
10 bolt (small) axle - SOLD
Factory rear sway bar - SOLD
O type 12 Bolt - SOLD
Bucket seats (not original) - $50
Factory front sway bar - $50
Vinyl top trim (rear 4 pcs, do not have the truck piece) - $75

Pics -

Adding more soon as the rain clears.

It looks like there was an upper piece. It's not on the lid (might be in the mess inside). The lower piece (goes all the way across and around the lock) is pitted. Would probably need to be re chromed. The front grilles are okay, but look like a couple of end pieces have been chipped off. I can spend pics if interested.

I'll put some pic up tomorrow. It's in "okay" shape for a 41 year old car that's never been restored. No front bumper. No fenders. No drive line. Firewall back is all there. Hood and radiator core support are there, but I'm hacking the core support to fix mine.

The rest of the pictures can be seen here. Other parts and pieces are there. Let me know if there's anything you need.

Hi Timmy, welcome to the site! I know storage is always an issue when it comes to spare parts. But if you have room just because someone doesn't ask you for the parts today doesn't mean someone won't be looking for them tomorrow

I'm kinda a packrat when it comes to spare parts. (that maybe the understatement of the year!) But I'd pull anything usable you can off the car before sending it to the crusher. That's my 2 cents.

On a lighter note, I've had several people ask me for drip rail molding trim. I believe its the same from 1968-72 on the Cutlass S and 442. I've messed up some trying to remove it, but here's a couple threads that can help you pull it.

One by Eric:
https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...oval-tool.html

And a post by Richard:
"Kurt my best success with drip rail mlds has been to take a paint stick and cut it down to about 3" long. Take a light body hammer and tap very lightly down the whole length of the mld. Do this back and forth until it comes off. It might take 10-15 passes to get it off. If you move too much at a time you will damage it."

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep the trim and dash parts for sure. I'm luck that the car I'm restoring had really good trim. I only bought this car for the 12 bolt axle and package tray. I figured someone could get some use out of the rest of this stuff.

To anyone that's waiting on photos, please be patient with me. I've been busy and what little time I've had, I've been selfish and worked on my own car. I will make time to pull parts and take photos this weekend. I'm to the point where I need to start buying parts to start the rebuild phase, so trust me, I'll need the $$

Do you have the 10 wire AC/heater wiring harness that connects to the control unit in the dash? I'd be interested if the connectors are solid.

Thanks

I received the rims today and I am a little dissapointed in the fact that I was told they were SS2 when in fact only 2 the 14s were SS2 and 2 the 15s were SS3 ..

Being that I only wanted the 15s and did not need the 14s i just wasted my money .. $190... now I have a set of mismatched $190 paperweights..

You knew the rims were not a proper set but failed to mention that
they were not ,,,you said ss2 not 2 ss2s and 2 ss3s ... Thanks

Anybody interested in buying a set of mismatched rims ???

I didn't know I had a set of mismatched rim. Its what was on the car when I bought it a couple months ago. The fronts were bolt in as I said, but I didn't say the backs were. The SS2s and SS3s from 1975-1977 were snap in centers. From what i've read, there's no difference between a set of SS2 and SS3s other than the color they were painted (which those were painted white) The fronts could actually be SS3s, so the entire thing could be wrong. I included pictures of the rims. I'll take the rims back, refund your purchase price of $100.

You didnt know ?? the center caps are half the size .. you cant tell by the photo but in person there is a huge difference ... I am going to call BS here.. There is no way possible you could have not known those rims were not different types ....

Now you say to return them to you and you will send me the 100 when the shipping is 90??? it isnt even worth the 10 bucks to drive them back to the ups store to ship them ... Be a man and refund all my money including the 90 for shipping then if you want them back pay the 90 to get them back ...

If I were trying to screw you over, I hope I could have cleared more than $70 ($100 purchase, minus $20 to take tires off, pay pal fees and the $5 in shipping I covered) I would have asked you to cover all of that, plus I probably wouldn't have refunded the $10 extra you sent to me on accident. I give a description of every item I sell to the best of my knowledge, and I include pictures (and send more when requested) I try to be as fair as possible on shipping and price (I'd hope everyone else that has bought from me would agree) I have a job, I just do this for play money to fund projects. I do apologize if you feel that I mislead you on purpose and that you received an item that wasn't what you expected. That being said, I will not refund your shipping charges, nor will I pay to have the rims shipped back to me. If you would like the purchase price of $100 refunded back to you, I will ask that the rims be shipped back to me, otherwise I will not issue a credit of any kind. This is my only offer. I'm not here to argue with you, no matter what insults you try to make.
