Got a kick out of this one. Let's help this poor soul out.
If you need stuff, sounds like this guy's got it, ha.

My wife says I have too many car parts scattered throughout the house.
Sadly, she says they must go bye-bye. She doesn't understand their therapeutic as well as calming effect they have on my soul, as well as the juxtaposition they represent between nature and machine, as my friends and I have discussed while walking amongst them and see them piled up along the edge of the driveway. Sadly, she says I must liquidate my priceless and almost endless inventory and to, as quickly as possible, get them the hell out of her garden, off her back porch, out of her kitchen, laundry room cabinets, out of all 5 of kids bedrooms and most importantly off of and out from under her grandmothers bed, so she can finally have a restful nights sleep after 16 years of sleeping on, under and surrounded by tilt and non-tilt floor shift steering columns and amongst many a front end parts. Despite proveing to her I thoughtfully cleaned and removed most of the grease off of them before placing them in their special place she still wouldn't listen to my plea to honor me in sickness and in health. Damn her, she didn't buy it and I lost that battle, but not the war (I hope). Lastly, she wants what "she" thinks is "her" garage, cleaned out so she can finally have a sun free space to park her 12 year old Prius and toss the 67 Goat out into the street.

My wife was looking in the garage and said "If your never going to finish your car you might as well sell it."
I said "Your starting to sound like my ex wife."
She said "I didn't know you were married before."

I have spoken to the guy and honestly I think he's a flake. He was supposed to send pics to me yesterday. I'm not even sure he has the stuff he says he has. Waste of time that I won't get back. Now he won't answer my texts or calls. Yup.

So I thought I would set the record straight on Dennis who is the seller on this Craigslist ad. He's not the most organized guy and in his words he has been over run with calls and texts for parts as a result of his ad being posted here. I recently bought a W31 that was missing the 7040255 carb. I noticed he said he had parts for W31's and so I finally did speak to him and he said that he did have that carb. He bought the car in the early 90's and his son has that car now. He agreed to send pics which he did. Like all of you I have spent a lot of time on that restamp thread. I was nervous. But in the end it was a legitimate carb. No APT hole and the stamping was original. I also had the luxury of looking at 2 other original W31 carbs in person owned by a friend here in Vancouver. He bought the 2 cars in the late 70's. Dennis was very fair to deal with and the price wasn't gouging. I'm a happy camper and I have the right carb (has a 2709 date code sept 27th/69 and my car was built Nov 1st/69). His son ended up putting a 403 in the W31 (original motor long gone) and decided to sell me the carb. I wanted to pass this on to anyone who has been trying to see if he has what they are looking for. Be patient. He's a good guy. Just busy. Al

No doubt about that. He's going to the Nationals in Albuquerque so he's far from being out of the hobby. He's just like any other parts hoarder. There's a time when you need to thin some stuff out. Sure be a fun road trip for someone in southern Ca. Love to poke through that cache.
