455 Olds Tornado engine for sale
I have a 99% compete 455 Oldsmobile engine from a Toronado for sale.
This engine is complete minus carb, starter and distributor.
This engine needs to be rebuilt.
I do not think this engine has ever had the valve covers removed.
Engine turns over with a socket and breaker bar.
Oil pan has a big dent in it and crank stops turning when it hits the den
Has "J" code heads
$600.00 OBO

John I purchased this engine from a wrecking yard in Kingman AZ.
I have no idea as to what happened to the original body.
I purchased it as a core for an engine build that the customer left me hanging on.
I'm just trying to recoup my loss.
Thanks for asking.

Hey, we're not expecting miracles. If you misspell "antidisestablishmentarianism" or "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," we'll overlook it. But when it comes to Oldsmobile model names, we just don't like to see the brand disrespected.

OK Mr. Jaunty, I corrected the spelling in the body of my first post, but am unable to correct the spelling in the title.
Mr. billmerbach, it appears this engine is 1975-76 vintage.
The block casting is 396021F and as stated the heads are the J casting.
Clearly a late model smog motor.
With all of the after market parts available, it is pretty simple to make this a fast piece.
