1971 OEM used 8 track face plate. Wood grain is correct for 71 only.
face plate is straight with consistent sheen.
Does have two very small waves at top of cassette opening on right. See photo.
Only noticable at a certain angle and probably wouldn't be noticable when mounted under dash. These can easily be fixed but seem so minor and unnoticeable that I decided not to play with it. SOLD.....

That's a very nice 8 track applique. That's about as clean as they come. Most have a wear mark from the rear ***** (base/treble and the fake one behind the balance).
