71 442 stripe location

Hi All,
Finishing up stripes on '71 442 clone. I have the stripes from Phoenix Graphix (great to deal with) but have a question. In the factory manual, all dimensions are given but there is a notation, hard to see which shows "stripes stop here", pointing to the fender seams. Do the stripes wrap into the front fender/ door opening? How about the quarter stripe- Where does it end at the door?
Thank you,
tommy23t

I am assuming you are referring to the non-W30 stripes. I personally seen it both ways on original paint cars. I think they look good either way. We currently own 2 original paint survivor cars and they both have the stripes wrap into the end of the door/fender. But I recently saw a 3rd car (gold) that I also consider it to be a benchmark car, but its stripes stopped just before the end of the panel. So it may vary on which plant or when the car was built, etc. Here are a couple of links of our original paint white 71 442 convertible as well as pictures of the gold car belonging to another member here:

stripes

Thanks Texas442, that is exactly what I was looking for. I agree they both look nice, will make a decision then. The location you showed was an added bonus, thank you for that. It is amazing how much the cars could vary according to plant location. This forum is a wealth of knowledge, thank you again for your reply.
