Painting the door

I am wanting to repaint the drivers door on my 83 H/O. I am wanting to paint the black that is between the stripes to remove a couple dings. What paint do I want to use so it will blend in with the rest of the car. (base coat clear coat, acrylic enamel) I'm thinking it has lacquer on it now.

The Paint/process the factory used was dispersion lacquer.
The closest you are going to have to use is Enamel or single stage urethane. Base/clear will give it an entirely different look.

Just remembered, TCP Global(California) mixes PPG Lacquer. You could check with them to see if they still can mix that for you in lacquer.
