Olds engine paint

Has anyone here used this Olds gold engine paint? If anyone here has any experience with this, I would like to know how it works for you. Is the color anywhere close to the original Olds gold.

If you are painting a 69 442 engine, it should be bronze not gold.

X2 on the bronze. OPGI has the Bronze engine for '65-'69 Olds "400" engines. Larry

I've been looking for something that comes in quart cans rather than spray cans. I hate to buy something and the match sucks. I understand that the original is bronze. Anyone that can help with a good color match will be much appreciated.

I'm just guessing, but try Supercars Unlimited (www.supercarsunlimited.com for their on-line catalog). It seems to me at one time they had the bronze engine paint in quart cans. I bought spray cans from them for both my '68 and '69 4-4-2 cars and I've received many compliments on the color match to original bronze.

Do a search. There is at least one long thread with pictures on this site.

As Joe mentioned, Bill Hirsch. I have used their green on my 54 and was very satisfied. He has had good reviews on the site.

I have emailed Supercars unlimited regarding the availability of Engine high temp paint.
I'll update for all when(if) I get a response from them.
Thanks for the replies
