Another 1970 W-30 hood stripe question
I'm getting ready to paint (have painted) the stripes on an original 1970 W-30 hood. Thanks to previous threads and assembly guides I'm comfortable with the layout and spacing for the front portion of the stripes. My need is some assistance with the look of the termination of the stripes at the back or cowl end. I know it doesn't just cut across in a straight line but how it curves or angles, I'm just not sure. Can anyone post a picture or 2 of the rear portion of original or correct stripes? I sure appreciate all I have learned from this site and hope there is a little more out there to see this project through! Thanks in advance.

The back edges of the hood stripes are not straight across.....what I mean is while the back edges ARE STRAIGHT, they don't follow an imaginary line that would run STRAIGHT ACROSS/OVER the car.
They are ANGLED to follow the angle at the rear of the scoops where they transition back into the hood surface.
You can tell that from the pics that were posted but when you mentioned "straight across" then I got to thinking and posted here. Figured you might tell your painter "straight across" and the painter might interpret it differently.
EDIT: Said another way, "straight across" could mean two different things.

Patton, Thanks for the clarification. That is exactly what I was trying to question in my original post. Thankfully, and as you mention, the photos generously provided by Troy and Steven really show the layout in relation to the contour of the hood. Thanks again, all!
