72 cutlass paint question

I am getting ready to paint the jams and inside of the fenders on my 72 supreme. I know the underhood area is body color, what I don't know is the inside of the fender that you can only see from the bottom the back side should that be body color or satin black.

Far as I'm aware, the factory didn't waste paint on those areas. Leave it with the factory black e coat finish.

that's what I was thinking, I have two solid original fenders and I had them glass beaded. I am getting ready to install them and I need to paint the inside before I do that. so you think I should paint the inside satin black and then the body colr on the edges and let there be overspray on the black?

If you paint the inside of the fender first which I think is the way to go, just mask it off with masking paper to prevent over spray.

I would think there would be some. Doubt very seriously they would tape it off. On my 68 that I have on the rotisserie, there is body color underneath. I did not notice it on the fenders however. But once I get to the fenders I will be masking them off. I masked the inside of the fenders on my 72 when I did it. Now when I painted it I painted the fenders, hood and deck lid without them being attached to the body.

I just went to the paint store today to get some 3m masking plastic to cover underneath the body once I shoot it underneath which I will be doing sometime this week.
