Ok I'm a first timer at sanding down a car does anyone have any tips or good links where I can get a good run down on how to effectively attack this job? Thanks in advance I know someone here will come through with some knowledge.

Learning to do my own body work was the best thing I ever did. You are right it is no fun but these guys can help.

Dont let anyone tell you it is brain surgery. It just takes time to do it right. The tools are pretty reasonable but there is alot of sacrificial materials. Filler primer sandpaper clear coat.
