POR15 looks great, goes on great, and stays on. However it burns around the exhaust ports and choke stove. Although it blackens, it does stay on...

I used Hirsch on my 54 and am very pleased with it. The color is very close if not exact. It has held up very well. Many folks say it is the closest to original. I have also used paint from Fusick and it is very good.

Does anybody know why rust spots can be seen under newly painted surface like i wire wheel brushed then a wire brush as well as sand paper..then primed and undercoated and brown spots still appear under the paint...no water no snow no salt

Also the time frame between primer and finish coat. Most primers don't seal off moisture. If for some reason a surface is primed and then weeks later the surface finish was applied, this would allow for rust to grow.
