I have a 350 with flotech headers 3 inch summit exhaust and mufflers

nice sound until I jump on it ... looks like crap from the back all you see is these giant 3 inch pipes ...

question is what will happen if i reduce after mufflers to 2.5 inch or smaller ??

will it hellp with that aweful sound when i jump on it ??

Imo Nope . I would. Add resonators. The size of the pipe would only chnage the pitch a bit. I run 2.5 in. Exhaust and you can hear me 3 block away. Just but some glasspack mufflers and add them before the tail pipes somewhere they won't stick out too much.

I would not drop to that small of a tail pipe. I would just add glass packs to what you have now. Try the moroso spiral mufflers I added them to open headers and they made it very quiet. I would imagine if you add it to what you have now it will make a big diffrence. You could also just get turbo style mufflers I'm guessing you got chambered style mufflers ?

No problem dropping to 2.5 inch pipes after the mufflers. Especially on a 350. Either way, the exhaust gases have cooled enough that smaller tailpipes will not be an issue. You can also get a small 12" glasspack resonator (cherry bomb) from summit. I have run a set of these and they reduce the pop or blat alot. Hope this helps.
