I have a 66 442 and would like to install a trunk release. I have the vacuum actuator and switch, but I don't have the vacuum canister or the longer trunk lock pin. I have found aftermarket vacuum canisters for A/C but not the trunk release. How much longer is the trunk lock pin I could make one and can I use the A/C vacuum canister. Do you know where I can purchase these.

You can use the same canister, you can get them for under $25 at any of the Olds parts catalog. Now as far as the longer pin goes it would be really hard to make one and nobody sells them. If you have a Olds body manual you can find a pic of it and you will see its two pices and the one turn inside the other. If you can find on expect to pay. Hope this helps.
