Charcoal canister delete
The car is a 71 Cutlass Supreme 350. If I delete the charcoal canister and plug the line to the standpipe, am I creating a pressure problem (positive or negative) in the tank? Should I change to a vented fuel cap? If so, suggestions on a P/N or suitable substitute?

Has anyone used a vented fuel cap on a 70-72 vintage Cutlass? I figure it "might" leak with a full tank, but I'd like a confirmation one way or the other.

There's no reason why a vented cap should leak, in and of itself. I can't say for sure whether the filler neck is any different where the cap seals, but I don't think it is.
Getting the right cap should be no problem - just look one up from an earlier car and confirm that it's different from the one shown for your car.
Remember that it is technically illegal to modify or disable any emission controls, so don't do it if you're in a locality where they do emissions inspections (mostly in the more Fascist states, like CA and NJ).
