Tach options?

If I want to add a tach, it looks I have 3 options:
1) Find an OEM tach - too many $$$ and not very accurate
2) Aftermsrket OEM lookalike - poor quality
3) Sun tach strapped to steering column - would rather have in-dash

What have you guys done that have added a tach?

Since Bosch bought the Sun line it may be tough finding one new.

Here's a fairly recent thread discussing tach options. It has a lot of pictures.

I just got done browsing Speedhut's site. That looks like the way I'm going to go. What size gauge will fit into the dash pods in the '68 dash?

The Sun Super Tach II that many folks use is 3 3/8" diameter.

Speedhut was having a Black Friday sale, so I took advantage of it and ordered two gauges. I'm going to keep my stock speedo, since it preserves the car's actual mileage. In the left pod, I'm going to replace the idiot lights with a combo gauge:

In the right pod, I'm going to replace the blank face with a tach:

I tried to match the look of the speedo as close as possible.
