Fuel tank '65 Vista Cruiser Help
My old tank was filled with rust inside so I got rid of it. I'm now looking for a new tank possibly (if it matters) a fuel injected tank for a 5.3 or 6.0 engine swap down the road but would also work for the 330 in it now. I've seen some where possibly you could use the original fuel sending unit on it, than the fuel pump blocked off till later. Any ideas?
Also would an El Camino tank work? Other vehicles have the fill spout go out the license plate / rear. El camino looks like they go out the 1/4 also like the Vista Cruisers

The Tanks inc. Chevelle wagon tank has the fill spout on the side, but in the wrong location for a Vista. It runs right into the frame rail. The tank must sit lower in the Vista because of the under floor compartment. With some pieces from Filler Neck Supply and a hole saw I was able to relocate the filler and cap the Chevelle wagon one. You will also need to lengthen your tank mounting straps and get longer carriage mounting bolts. A Chevelle wagon tank WILL NOT WORK with your 64-65 Vista filler neck in stock form.
