63 F-85 project kickoff
Just getting started on the forum, I bought an okay F-85 convertible a few years back and never got started on bringing it back up to snuff, Red with white top and interior. The bug to have something cool has bit now.
Ordered some new front seat foam from OPGI this week and had new covers from Kanter still in the box.
I happened to find a... parts car... on craigslist this week, wondering if anyone can show me (via a picture) where to look at the differential to see if it is a positrak... its pretty grimy so was hoping to find out before I went to work scraping the underside of this thing. I only bought it for the hood and front bumper, so this would just be a bonus.

Just so I'm clear, I looked at the diff cover, and I dont see any numbers. I will have to go look at the vert tomorrow, its still in my X wifes basement (hence the no progress for the last two years), now that I have a garage, I hope to have it moved in next week.

See the attached thumbnail, which is out of the '63 Olds factory service manual. You're looking for a circled letter X after the date code on the right side of the differential housing cover. Even if you don't find an X, you should find the axle ratio code and date code.

Hello Matt,
I also have a 63 F85 that I'm restoring. I've been looking for some body parts, specifically window frames, hood and side moldings and trim, if you still have your parts car. Please email me @ cheryl.fensom@gmail.com if you are willing to part with them. I'm located in Virginia. Thank you in advance.
