61 f-85 carb and lifter questions....

Hi all my car could really use a new carb and I would like to buy a new one but I can't find a new one for it....just wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me where I can get one? My next question is had just picked up the car today and looked at it yesterday and the car was quiet as all and sounded great the the motor was dead silent ran good....now I have it and it started tapping he said it was a stuck lifter when I confronted him about it. I did an oil change thinking it would fix it. Just wondering what else I can try to try and fix it? Thanks in advance! Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to this car and just want it to he Healthy!

You can add a bottle of Rislone or Marvel Mystery oil to your oil and run it a bit to see if it clears up.

You won't find a "new" one. You might find a rebuilt one. Is it a 2bbl or 4bbl?
