1964 Olds 394 Vacuum advance

Did GM run the distributor advance from ported vacuum or manfiold vacuum on a 64 Olds starfire 394 high compression, with a rochester 4gc?
Not looking to determine which is a better way of doing it. Just looking for how the factory did it.
thanks in advance

The vacuum hose for the advance runs from the passenger side front corner of the carb to the vacuum chamber on the distributor .
It is ported vacuum .

Awesome, i suspected it was ported. Thanks for confirming my suspicion. Im running edelbrock 600 now and have it set to ported. Ive been experimenting with different degrees of advance and switching back and forth between manifold and ported. I think im gonna just leave it the way GM set it back in 64.
