Omega info
I was looking to see if some Omega info that I just read was true, any input would be great! So I was looking at a '73 Omega that is for sale on Craigslist out of Florida, the seller put the following info in the description of his car:
"This is my 1973 Oldsmobile Omega two door Hatchback. Built in Van Nuys California.
While researching the History of this car I found this statement at the OfferClassicCars Oldsmobile website:
21,400 OLDS OMEGA'S WERE BUILT IN 1973 (1ST YEAR) 2 DR COUPE, 2 DR HATCHBACK AND 4 DOOR SEDAN MODELS.
ALL OF THESE OMEGA'S WERE BUILT AT THE GM OLDS PLANT IN LANSING MI. EXCEPT 53 CARS BUILT IN VAN NUYS CALIFORNIA.
ALL 53 CARS BUILT IN VAN NUYS CA. WERE "DR OLDS" EDITION OMEGA'S WITH THE VIN CODE K3L AND SOLD BY CENTURY OLDS VAN NUYS.
OUT OF THE ONLY 53 DR OLDS OMEGA'S BUILT, ONLY 12 WERE HATCHBACKS, AND ONLY 3 HAD VINYL TOPS."
Can anyone verify any of this info? The reason I'm asking is that my '73 Omega was built in Van Nuys and has 'H3L' in the vin, (350 2 barrel, '73, Van Nuys) I believe the 'K3L' would have indicated a 4 barrel, '73, made in Van Nuys.
Is this guy just trying to embellish a little to sell his car.

Update: Wikipedia does say that there were 53 Dr. Olds built in Van Nuys but it does not say that those were the only '73 Omega's built in Van Nuys. (which would be proven by my Omega being built in Van Nuys and it not being a Dr. Olds version with a 4 barrel carb.)
So it seems that he is correct about the info on his car, but wrong on the fact that there were only 53 Omega's built in Van Nuys with all of them being Dr. Olds versions. Is there any way to find out just how many '73 Omegas were built in Van Nuys?

VIN identifiers are correct H3L= 350 2bbl Van Nuys.
The information about Lansing building the Omega's is incorrect! 3W is Willow Run Michigan (Detroit area). Both had starting serial# 100001
