i didn't mean to use the whole wheel cover just the 2 bar center cap.it looks like they would be a close fit to go on the pontiac 8 lugs.i have a set of 8 lugs and could measure the width of the cap opening but i don't have an olds wheel cover center cap to measure its opening.
i don't see why not BUT the 65-68 8 lugs use a 2 3/4 in brake shoe on front,best bet would be the early 60-62 i think they were 2 1/4 ,63 -64 2 1/2.https://www.jgrelining.com/pontiac
I do have a pair of really nice 62 rear panels that match the front door panels but they are too short. At some point I will have to get custom rear panels made or make them myself. If I do that I'm going to hold out until I find a pair of 61 front door panels.
cool.i love the 8-lugs,.i have an old 66 pontiac dealer book it's illustrated and about 60 pages and shows all the different models.it shows a 66 gto with 8-lugs,under the pic it says wheels not availible at time of printing or something like that.i would have loved to have a set on my moms old 66 gto.
Hey guys I'm currently searching for a pair of decent rear ashtrays for a 62 Starfire WITHOUT power windows, so its just the ashtray without the integrated p/w switch. I'm not sure if the same style with the ribbed to is the same on later years so 63 or 64 may work. I do have a pair with the p/w switches in them but for now I'm staying with crank windows. Thank you.
Ohh......STILL looking for some 1961 Starfire door panels in any condition. Actually I really only need the trim unless the front panels are minty garnet red. I will need extra trim to fabricate custom rear panels as they are longer than the convertible.

The Starfire used a longer ashtray in the rear with a die cast ribbed top and an integral lighter. Very upscale; I believe it was Starfire only. All 61 Starfires and 62 Starfire convertibles would have a power window switch also. I have seen 62 Starfire coupes without pw using the ashtray I'm looking for. I'm going to assume that they are only available used. Pontiac GP might use the same ashtray.
Went to a GREAT little shop yesterday called Wholesale USA Upholstery supply. http://www.wholesaleusastl.com/ I walked out with 2 yards of vinyl (super close to factory color) all the metal edging, and the 1/8" dense foam for the upper section for $60!! I just want to give them some kudos because they were so helpful and the prices were very reasonable. More pictures to follow!
Weighing down the vinyl between the details. Tomorrow ill stretch it in place and secure it. Waiting on carpet from ACC to match the floors and i havent even ordered the mylar for the middle from SMS yet so who knows how long before they're done. Still need to do the passenger side but this was not too bad.

That is the only way I could get it because I was told that the panels are all die cut and the rears would not be long enough for me to use. So I'm looking at the end of April or early May before I even get the material.

The embossed metal/mylar from SMS looks like an exact match. I just saw somewhere someone was selling a set of "NOS" precut mylar panels for $500. I thought SMS was pricey but jeez....
on the armrest bases I'm not sure yet what to do. Probably going to try and paint them with a "chrome" paint. Who replates these?

Starting to install the ashtray assembly and the rear courtesy lights. First I carefully stripped off the covers they are nice and I want to reuse them.
I trimmed the metal in the armrest to put the larger ashtray in. I left a couple of little tabs of metal underneath to screw it in. The old one just set inside where this one attaches with screws.
