454 swap wiring harnes????

So I posted a previous thread showing off my car but I'd like to know how hard it would be to find a wiring harness that would fit with the swap. The wiring in the car now is awful and I'm going to have to start from scratch anyway. Any suggestions? Helpful links? Websites? Other Threads? Thanks guys

Oh and I'm curious as to what problems I might run into when I get a wiring harness.

Talk to the wire harness people, be very detailed about what you need and they will build it for you, a Chevy and Olds wire harness aren't that much different.

If your going to keep the BBC in it, treat it like a Chevelle. I did not have to mod a lot to adapt my BBC. Just starter power and added an HEI, very simple.

Is it just the engine harness that's screwed up or all the wiring. If you need schematics I can post some.

Its the whole harness I believe. I'm just kind of bamboozled by this thing to be completely honest. If you could see it I'm sure you'd understand. I'll try and take some pictures for you guys.

We like pictures. The nice thing is these old engines don't require a lot of wiring. If the PO just butchered a few wires then it won't be so bad.

My big block didn't need a whole lot of changes to make it work from the looks of things. There were some wire mods. made but nothing to serious, however my care was already wired for a HEI, so You may need more work than mine did. But it runs and drives so it must have been fairly easy, because as I dig into this car more....Im thinking the guy I bought it from didn't really know what he was doing or talking about on some things. Good luck...wiring up stuff can be a real fun chore!!
