My 65 Ninety-Eight
So, I've joined in the Olds love, and added a very awesome 65 '98 to my personal fleet, but I do have a couple of minor issues.
First of all, it seems like it's flooding out on tip-in, because if I give it more throttle, it'll take off like a scalded cat, but it'll die if I don't give it more throttle, or immediately back off... This also seems to be consistent with the fact it tries to flood itself out when cruising at 55-60... I've heard suggestions from much more knowledgeable folks than I that it's the floats, so how do I adjust those on the 4GC? (This /is/ my first carbureted car, so...)
Second, does anyone have a vacuum diagram for the '65? I want to go through and replace all the vacuum hoses, and I want to be sure everything is routed as it was originally.
Finally, does anyone know where I can get the little metal rod that the trunk latch clasps onto, since it's missing on my car?
Have a picture of my car, for reading.
