search Tank for olds 98

Hello everybody,

a few of you I have written. But I still have my problem!! Seeking a fuel tank for my '67 98 convertible. 25 Gal.

important: Good condition, no points of leakage.

If anyone has something suitable, please sign.
Some pictures are also good.

For ideas and offers I am grateful.

Thank you!!!!!

If the '67 & '68 98 gas tanks are interchangeable, I have one from a '98 convertible that I'm parting out. Maybe someone more knowledgeable on the subject can chime in.

Thanks, Gary

Your best bet is to have the tank repaired no matter what condition it's in - '68 98 fuel tanks are VERY hard to find and were never reproduced. A tank from a '67 may fit but I think it's a different part number.
Good Luck!!

According to the Olds master parts book ( C 1972 ) 1967 and 1968 98 models use the same gas tank .
Part number 399447.

I fixed a tank on an old Chevy Monza by encapsulating it in fibreglass. It never leaked, that was with unleaded btw, it may not work with ethanol blend fuel.
