'65 98 taillight rubber filler between bumper
I previously inquired if anyone has been successful with the rubber filler pieces under a 1965 taillight where the bumper meets the taillight. I have been following the forum for a couple of years and there is not much traffic on 60's 98s. While I am only familiar with 1965 which may be really bad as they are one year cars for the most part for metal and trim, I think I may post once in awhile so I can read about 98s. I replaced the rubber filler piece under my taillights with extruded rubber from Steele Rubber. The part number is 27-0106-30. Sold by the foot. $12 in material and $12 in shipping. The rubber is black and I believe the original was grey. I attached some pics but the truth is, once the bumper is on with the chrome taillight filler piece that bolts on the bumper on as well, you can barely see the rubber. But, I think it worked fine. Wanted to share a 98 success from my view

I will look closer at mine and get a pic, but I do not believe it shows any evidence of having a piece missing that goes around the lower taillight. Looks like the 66 that just goes around the bumper upper edge. Not a bad look tho.
