Windshield washer pump

Windshield washer pump
I had someone replace the pump 3 months ago with a kit on my wiper motor and it was working for a while.
Noticed some windshield fluid on the garage floor today so I took off the reservoir and cleaned it and determined tank was ok, but the fluid was leaking near the hose nipple.
So I trimmed the hose and it still got moist so I replaced the whole hose. No leak now. But now the pump has seemed to fail again.
This was annoying since I thought I had fixed it. I can hear it pumping but only had a small minute steam from one nozzle at first. Now nothing.
I took the hoses off the outlets on the pump and am getting nothing.
So I think the pump went again. Am I correct?

Did you check the actual function (suction) of the pump??? Remove the hose from the tank to the pump, and then cycle the pump... Using your finger, or a piece of paper, can you feel the pump sucking... If you can, there is a blockage in the hose, if not the pump is bad...
