new to this site

Hello, In 1975 my dad traded a sears die hard battery for a 65 olds 98 convertible that smoked bad and needed a new top. that summer I learned how to rebuild that engine ( I was 15 ) I then learned how to drive in that car. ( it was my moms car ) my mom drove it off and on for for about 25 years until she passed away, my dad put another new top on it and a new interior in it right before giving it to me as a wedding gift in 2006. I haven't driven it as it needs brake work and exhaust but I do start it regularly. it is an old family friend. Besides how many people my age can say they have THE car the learned to drive in.

My car is white also with a green interior ( I know yuck but that is what it came with ) Mine is not optioned out and has no AC. It had bolt on wheels covers on 14 inch wheels but only 1 is left ( do you know of any available ? )
also I need the rt front brake hose and all the e brake cables. also do you know if it is true that most of the parts except suspension
are 65 only convertible only.

The bolt on wheel covers are a special option. The wheels are very scarce, the covers can be had. I have 3 but am not ready to let them go.
You should also get the 65 Fischer body manual, they show up on e-bay.
Brake hoses are available new. Don't know about e-brake cables.
Post in parts wanted for items you seek.
Mine was triple blue, changing to triple white. Not on road yet. No AC. Very rough when I got it.
Pics, we like pics.
Great amount of knowledge on this site.

A car for a battery? That is one heck of a trade! The car is still around and runs, while the Diehard died hard!
