Welcome to C.O.! Your title is slightly skewed. 98 Regency. Supreme is a cutlass model designation.

Post your needs in the parts wanted section. or go to Homecoming or national meet may have some of the stuff you need at the swap meets.

Nice looking 98. Most engine, brake, suspension etc available at any parts store. Body, trim, interior is a bit tougher.
You didn't say where you are but background suggests a chance to find donors cars in a local salvage yard.

That "vinwiz" site is wrong. As noted, there was never any such thing as a 98 "Supreme." "Supreme" was used only on Cutlasses, and it was used for many years. On that line in the decoder, it should say "4 door Sedan."

Here's a good VIN decoder:

https://www.v8cars.hu/oldsvin/decode.php

Here's what it shows for your car.

Not necessarily. In those days, it was possible to order (or not order) pretty much any option. Even though the 98 was the top- line Oldsmobile model, you could buy one without options, like air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and so forth that are commonplace today on even the lowest-end cars.

Here's the 1972 Dealer's Specs book page for the 98. Note the standard equipment on the left side, and note what's NOT included. Power windows were optional on all but the Luxury models. Power seats, power trunk lid, power door locks, air-conditioning, tinted windshield, cruise control, tilt/telescope wheel, even $7 floor mats and even the radio. Yes, you could have ordered a 1972 98 with a blank-off plate where the radio would have been.

Metal parts are available from a wrecking yard north of Phoenix, AZ, I don't remember the name though, it's huge. I bought a rear bumper from them and had it shipped. They sent photos before purchase. They seem very reputable if not inexpensive.
