New 1991 Trofeo Owner
#1
Bought a 1991 Trofeo today. Had a 1990 black one in the mid '90s. Wished I never let go of it. Found this one and going to restore it back to original as much as possible. The previous owner still had the original rims and the original Window Sticker. in 1991 this was a $27,000 car. I got it for much less. First on the list is all fluids to be changed. then on to making a full list. Hey its a 24 year old car with no rust. Got something to start with.
It will be a project to get it back to a daily driver, but at least I have a rust free body to start with and many Original parts.

Thanks, not sure this one is considered a "Classic", but very few of these are on the road and this is one more NOT going to the crusher. My biggest challenge will be finding parts. Not too concerned with mechanical parts. I'm sure there are plenty of 3800 V6 and 4T60E Transmissions out there. (I hope).

Welcome to CO. My parents have a 90 and love it. They bought it in 93 with 3500 miles. When they got it I hated it but now that some years past I love these cars. My parents only has 37,000 miles now and when they drive it many people think it is a new modern car and ask what brand it is. In my opinion these cars had the last of the great interiors.

Yes, the Interiors are very comfortable and the ride is smooth and quiet. I have a 2013 Veloster and it pales in comparison to this car. This will be a daily driver once I get it road worthy again. Sad GM dropped the Trofeo only after 3 years. But they priced it way above the target consumer they were trying to attract back then. Your parents have a rare gem on their hands at 37,000. This one has 160,000+ on it. Still rides better than my new car.

I moved and combined your 2 posts into the newbie section.
I remember when I got my first 67 Cutlass in 76, it was only 9 years old. A lot of my friends were running 50's cars. Which back then were not much older than yours is today. You play with what your used to and like.
