new guy with 71 cutlass

just thought I would introduce myself. I just recently picked up a 1971 cutlass holiday coupe, I think its the S trim it has the chrome side trim and wheel well trim along with the wood grain accents. It has the 350 rocket in it thats been hopped up some including a cam, new intake carb and a ignition. it needs some work like a new fender grill and bumper, but I love it. I was wondering if there was a way to decode the cowl tag? Ive searched but haven't been able to find a decoder or any kind of information.

my cowl tag is as follows:

st-71 - 33287 2 0019 body

trim-900 7575 paint

12c 034 024 35 0166

any help would be appriciated.

now onto some pics.

If you get a picture of the cowl tag it would be best!
ST-71=1971
33287=F85 V-8 cutlass hardtop coupe/bench seat
2?= could be a Z for Fremont CA assembly plant
900= black bench seat/int
75/75= top and lower color Matador Red
12C=Dec 3rd week 1970 date of asy
The rest some one will have to chime in on!

Welcome to the site! What part of the country/world are you located in?
I know there's several members here with extra sheetmetal. If you need to replace anything I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread.

Note that the tag does show a "Z", not a "2", for Fremont, CA assembly plant. That's also consistent with the 034024 350166 in the last line. Those six digit numbers are unique to Fremont built cars.
