1948 68 club sedan
My name is John Ulmen. OCA club member 995. I'm in Lewiston, Idaho. My Father bought my 1948 Olds in March of 1949 after the first owner traded it in for a new 1949 88 Convertible. (wish I had THAT Oldsmobile!). The '48 had 1800 miles on it in 1949, and is just under 100,000 miles now. The car is largely original including the 257.1 c.i. engine and hydra-matic drive. Bought its first set of new wide whitewalls in 33 years two years ago. I retire the end of this year and am looking forward to addressing some of the car's urgent needs, including rewiring, upholstery, etc. I have been selling Toyotas (and Oldsmobile and Pontiacs when they made them) for the last 27 years. I'll never forgive GM for what they did to these nameplates nor buy their current stuff. But I darn sure want to preserve this sentimental favorite.
