What months were the 70 442 W30 built?

Can someone tell me for sure, what months did they build the 70 442 W30? I've seen cars listed as W30 that were built in the 9,10,11,12,1,2,3 months as well as various weeks (A,B,D,E).

You'll have to show me a documented one built in September.
The first 367 were built in October, with the last 10 built in July, and the rest built every month in between.

Need accurate information on 70 442 W30

Not sure you have correct facts. Here is what I have found through various sources regarding the 70 442 W30. Still looking for accurate information regarding my original question.

Always a relatively rare muscle car, the total production for W-30 convertibles in 1970 was 264. (Of this number, 96 were manual shift and 168 were automatic. Of the latter, 126 featured the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter.) Few of these cars survived, and only a handful of authentic 1970 W-30 Convertibles remain in the world today. -- JF of Serious Wheels

You may not be sure, but I am. What I told you is directly from internal Oldsmobile IBM printouts of Olds production by month by option. If you think you think you can find anything more accurate than that, keep looking.

How can I tell if my 70 442 could be a w30 since I have no build sheet (seats and tank have been replaced)? Here is some information:

344670M142695. The cowl tag does show it was built in LAN and the 3rd line says 09D

Any information would be great

Thanks

Chris

is your car an automatic? if so it would have to have an OW code on the transmission along with the matching VIN to be a real W-30. if it is missing the original transmission or it is a 4 speed car, the only way is with original paper work or the broadcast card.

Yes, car is automatic. Engine has been replaced with correct F engine block not sure what happened to original engine. The engine has been rebuilt to correct 70 specs. The car does have all correct w30 parts

But does it have the original trans? As was said, if it does, then your proof will be there. See if the VIN derivative on the trans matches the car VIN. If so, the trans tag will answer your question.

just as a side note... the OW tag is reproduced now so that can cloud things a little by trying to authenticate a W-30 this way.
