Daytona Beach Newb
Hey just bought a a 69 olds 442 out of new york and am looking to start restoring it. While trying to do more research about the car i found this site and am hoping this will provide me with the tech help i need.
I am used to working on cars but have always been around newer chevy's and for some reason i keep getting dragged into chrysler to help my friends out. I know very little about oldsmobile, their motors, transmissions, and what to look for interior wise. I bought this car to rebuild and give to my father as a gift.
I apologize upfront if i ask any questions that get asked to often I will do my best to use the search function. I am part of many other forums where newbs clog up the pages with questions that have been hashed out many times and are extremely easy to find with a little bit of effort.
If anyone is local in daytona, central florida, or up towards jacksonville I would love to pick your brain and possibly see what you have so i know which direction i need to run in.
Thanks again

Welcome to this site! You will find lots of detailed knowledge here, just for the asking. I finished restoration on my '68 4-4-2 conv 4 1/2 years ago and this site was most valuable for finding out info I didn't know. I also have a '69 that's next - when the money is there to do it! Enjoy this site, post pictures of your car, and ask questions at will!

Like to welcome you aboard as well. Have been doing off frame resto on my 71 442. Let me tell you I couldn't have gotten this far without the help, info and parts I have gotten from everyone involved here. A great group!
