Newbie from Syracuse, NY

Hi guys my name is Drew and I'm from just outside Syracuse, NY. I have a 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 that I am currently restoring. She ran and drove last year but decided it was time to give her a proper refinishing. She's almost ready for paint and I just need a couple small parts to finish her up. Was cruising the internet and found this forum and figured it would be a great place to find answers and parts that I'm lookin for as I am new to the Oldsmobile "family". Thanks in advance and I look forward to sharing info with ya!

Good to have another 55 owner aboard, love to see some pic of your 55. What parts are you short, there is a chance that I could help you out.... Tedd

I'm short the door panels (its a 4 door), carpet and I'm also looking for the rear quarter window trim (this one is gonna be my achilles heel). I'll put some pics up once I "shrink" some small enough to put on here

Welcome,

I live right down the road in Seneca Falls.

I can't help much with the 50's stuff but there's a guy in Salisbury, MA that advertises all the time. Fusick has some of the older stuff too.

Mike

Welcome - I live in Albany and am restoring a 70 SX Conv. FYI - not many chrome places left anymore (nothing near Albany), but I had my bumper rechromed in your neighborhood - Sandy's Bumper Mart. Happy with the results and he does all kinds of chrome pieces.

Welcome to CO, Drew! The '55's are great looking cars. Glad you are taking the time to restore it. Yep, pictures, when you figure it out.
