Smile Newbie: 1970 Cutlass SX

Finally was able to jump on the Cutlass Club. I am now the proud owner of a 1970 Cutlass SX. Almost everything under the hood has been rebuilt, its got matching numbers, power seating, windows, AC and heat. Love to drive it (minus the slight problem I posted about here. Everything about the car is great except the interior and exhaust.

very nice car is it a bucket seat car???? i see it has the fender brace, it might be the angle of the pic but the sx emblem looks a little off 2 me, in the pic it looks like it starts under the a instead of the 1st s, it might of been moved when painted, do you have the build sheet or window sticker?? if so your good!! i love my 70 sx convert

It is a bucket seat car. I do have the original docs :-). Got it from an old man that had it sitting next to his barn for 20 years

One difference is that the PO put a 442 grill instead of the standard SX one

you have a WINNER than!!!! finding a sx455 with paperwork is the hardest part!! ive been looking for a hard top 2 go with my drop for 2 years and cant find 1 thats affordable with papers, theres a old lady like 70-80 that lives by me who has a baby blue hard top, bucket seats, tilt, and tic toc tach real sx, ive tried 2 buy many times she wont sell I WANT IT!!!!!! she told me 5000 once i went and got the cash and her son talked her out of it, I WAS SICK!!!!

what options do you have?? 2 or 4 barrel? tick toc tach? posi/ratio? tilt? power windows? a track? the more the better!!! my convert has 4 barrel, tic toc tach, posi 323, sport steering wheel, and power windows, NO tilt, cruise control, induction hood, a-track, or z gate all the options i want i dont got, 1 day im going 2 get lucky and find a hardtop with everything for a affordable price!!

you have a rare beautiful car make sure you register it with sx455.com, and hold on 2 it 1 day theyll be worth more than 442's

Its the 2barrel 320HP model. Matching numbers. not posi unfortunately. Not sure what tick toc tach (learning the terminology). It has working power window, power seating, cruise control, AC / heating. The AM/FM turner does not work (yet). I does have an 8track player but haven't tested that either. Not sure on z gate or tilt. I wish I had the induction hood. I got pretty lucky with this find (at least I think so) got it for 5k.

for 5 you got a good deal!!!!! thats the deal im looking for!!!! a tic toc tach is a tachometer it would be next 2 your speedo, if the 8 track dosnt work theres a guy on this site or on real olds power that reapirs them, a zgate is a his and hers shifter like a ratchet shifter, you lucked out the cruise control is very rare, if you decide 2 change anything keep all your original parts if you decide 2 sell it pm/email me 1st!!!

Are you sure its not a posi? To my understanding the SX came standard with a 2.56 posi rear end.

EDIT: Never mind I did a quick search and I didn't find anything about the SX coming standard with a posi rear end. Even tho I could've swore I read it somewhere
