Newbie from Indiana
Hey guys, I'm Chris from Lafayette, Indiana. I'm new to the old school Olsmobile scene. I'm in the process of purchasing a 1964 Oldsmobile 98 sedan with 394 in it. 64k original miles.

Welcome to CO!
Love the Land Yachts and that one looks like it's survived very well. What are your plans for it?
Here's what the 1964 Brochure showed it as - super cool luxury all the way. Such an elegant design that new cars just seem to always miss the mark with.

My plans are to get it road worthy to cruise with my family. Going to install seatbelts in the rear for my kids to enjoy the car with me and my wife. Then start saving money for front disc conversion and swap trans to overdrive so I can take it road trips. Basically just enjoy it as a classic cruiser.

Hello from another Indiana resident! If you haven't heard of it, you should drive that Olds down to the Antique Hill Climb in Newport, IN in October. Your car is too new for the main event but its an awesome time and you get to meet a ton of people with unique vehicles and loads of rare knowledge. Newport is an hour southwest of Lafayette.
Good luck with the car!
Good luck with the car!
