New 1969 H/O Owner
Hello Everyone!
I've been a new owner of a '69 Hurst for about a month now. Looking forward to participating in the group and would be interested in attending any local gatherings (I live in CT). I am taking the car to Indy for the 50th Anniversary of the '69 H/O in July, should be an amazing event.

I had a '69 442 convertible from '74 to '77, so this is actually my second. I've always loved the '69's lines. A friend of mine in high school and his two brothers were major Olds fanatics, they each had an H/O...a '69, a '72 and a '73. Once I saw his '69 it was love at first sight! Only took me 42 years to get one!

You should have bought that 69 H/O that he had about 10 years ago. As I recall he consigned it at Amelia Island and took a bath on it (who knows what really happened, it is "reality" TV after all.....lol)

Yeah, I went and looked at the car when it was in the showroom. It was immaculate.

Welcome to the forum. I see you just bought your 69 Hurst. There's another one pretty close to you, I"m not sure if they are a member here. I remember seeing a new report about a fire in Glastonbury CT and everyone and pets got out OK but the clip shows a 69 Hurst backed out of the garage. Gotta have your priorities in order when there's a fire, LOL

It was either early 2019 or late 2018. It was a large fairly new home. The article did not make mention of the car, I just saw it parked in the driveway and the garage door was open. I just looked it up. It was Somers CT. Here' the link from the news story. You might have to wait through advertisement but it's News 8 New Haven that reported on it.https://www.wtnh.com/news/connecticu...ers/1686192428
