New here, restoring a 1970 F85

Hi! From Michigan, working on restoring a 1970 F85 Couple with my dad. He owned a lot of different Oldsmobile’s when he was younger, his favorite was an actual F85-W31, pretty rare, but sold it on hard times. We have poloroid pictures of the car and that Is essentially what we want to “clone”. Currently have the F85 torn down and working on rust repair, but looking for many parts. Repairing metal along the back window with the roof skin off. Once a new roof skin is on, I’ll be putting in a floorpan. Goal is to get the body all done and painted in the next couple years while also looking for w31 motor components like the intake and the holy grail harmonic balancer. Added a few pics of the top quarter I just finished metal working. Looking forward to reading about other projects and everyone’s knowledge on these cars.

Thanks. I posted a wanted for some post doors. It is quite the project, I bought a roof from a guy chopping up cars in Oaklahoma so I got the rear quarter tops from that as well has the rear roof brace that I will be replacing next. NPD isn’t far from me, that’s where I picked up a floor pan. That’s where I’ll be getting the roof skin. Thought I was going to try and reuse the one from Oklahoma but did a bunch of damage trying to drill the spot welds in the rain drip rails. Once the roof is back on and solid, the body will be going on a rotisserie after I do some bracing inside. Finishing up my 96 f350 right now with a garage paint job, looking to get back to the F85 this summer.
