hi, we have a 72 cutlass s with bench seat

we want to put in modern but soft cloth bucket seats

soft like 05,06,07 grand caravans

any suggestions or experience anyone can share?

Bud, with enough ingenuity any seats can be made to fit. The problem you might run into is that seats from a truck or minivan may sit too tall (not the headrest part but the seat part).

My father; Oldsguy, and I put bucket seats in his 69 Delta 88 years ago out of a mid 80s GM coupe. They fit pretty well.

Since the geometry of the bracket below the seat won't fit you will have to do some modification. Good luck.

thank you for your response

we are handy and creative

before we go the entire route including upholstery to match interior
we would like to find a seat that is initially comfortable and drive it for a month or two to be confident it is what we want

the reference to the caravan seats was only to illustrate the softness we are after
