1970 Cutlass S

I purchased a 1970 Cutlass not too long ago. I actually came on here cause I am having issues with the low beams. Both are not working but all four are working on high beam. Checked the dimmer switch for continuity on both positions and it is good. Don't know where to go from here. Any help or direction to go on this site would be great. Thanks for all your help.

Have you checked the low beam bulb. They have 2 filaments the low could be burned out on both. Welcome and show us some pics of your ride.

Welcome to the site. Check for voltage at the low beam lamp connectors. If there is voltage there replace the lamps.

So gents. Thanks for the help but found a wire disconnected on one of these bad boys.
The positive lead to pin 87 was just hanging there and not connected. DRRRR! Thanks for your help though.

From the factory there were no headlight relays needed or used. If you have sealed beam headlights (even halogens) there is no need for the relays. As you have seen, they just add potential failure modes.

If they are using H4 & H1 halogen bulbs then a relay is needed because it will cause the headlight cct breaker to open on high beams without it.
