Hello All Im New

Hi Everyone I'm new to the Forum, I am working on a 1972 Olds Cutlass S, I bought it about 3 years ago in pieces, It has 442 badging but I don't have the build sheet, its my understanding that in 72 you could purchase a "442" Cutlass that was an automatic 2 barrel with single exhaust. it was just a trim option. Sooo your guess is as good as mine if it was actually a 442 from factory or not. I am collecting parts a little at a time when I have the Green Paper stuff. I have just about all the body parts I need with exception of a wing and front bumper. The interior is light brown and I'm in the midst of collecting Black Pieces. I have seats but they need reupholstered, I need door panels as well as seat backs center console (Im debating on attempting to pant mine) and some other odds and ends. I have a while to go so Im not really in a big rush. I look forward to talking with you Guys/Galls.

Welcome to the site, post some pics when you get a chance. Post a list of needs in the parts wanted classified section.

Welcome to the group... Good luck with your project... I may still have some black door panels, But I would have to check to make sure what is actually left since I had both 70 & 71/72 panels... Where are you located???

Welcome Jim. Good luck with your 72. I find the 72 Olds models to be superior over all others. LOL.
I'm fairly new too. This is a great site!

Welcome. FYI, the OCA National meet is in Gettysburg this year at the end of July, so you have a deadline to get your car finished.

Jim, the front and rear panels I have are for a 1970, not the same as your 72... Also, they are only in fair/good condition and may need to be re-glued on the edges...

The hard plastic pieces can be painted fairly easily using SEM products. If you don't have cracks, gouges, etc, then painting should work well.
