Exhaust manifold help

Hey guys I have a 70 Cutlass Convertible and both exhaust manifolds are cracked...found the driver side locally does anyone have an idea where I can locate the passenger side....

or should I go headers I heard they are crap in these cars and where out quick any suggestions or thoughts are all appreciated!!

Parts wanted section. For a 350 2 bbl you should be able to get one on here.

Have the exhaust manifolds repaired. You're going to have to remove them anyways. A competent welder shouldn't have any problem welding cast iron.

I have a pair of exhaust manifolds for a 350 2bbl from a '68 for $30 plus shipping. The driver side casting number is 380001 (#1 cast into it, date code "58" (Feb. 27)) and the passenger side is 398704 (#4 cast into it, date code "5" (Jan 5)). Passenger side has crossover outlet for single exhaust that would need to be blocked off if you have dual exhaust. Both manifolds have been cleaned, bead-blasted and covered with high heat cast iron spray paint.

I don't know where you heard that but it is wrong. ANY headers will flow better than the factory exhaust manifolds, and the set on my car has been there since the 80s.

But if you don't have an engine that can take advantage of the headers, there's not really any reason to put them on. Just stick with the factory manifolds.

Thanks for the input guys...i was able to get an original manifold..I just have stock 350 that I will change intake and switch to 4brll carb next summer and maybe change cam

So with the change to a 4 barrel you can take advantage of headers or not. I ran stock manifolds with a homemade block off plate in my 71' Cutlass conv't 25 years ago. It was a 350 original 2 barrel. I changed the intake and used a 73' Q-jet with dual exhaust and as the engine says, it was a rocket. Same cam and I believe a 278 rear with a 350 trans.

Beautiful car by the way, that's the same color paint and top as mine of 25 years ago.
