Greetings to all

Hello from South East Georgia. My Olds is a 1967 442 Post W30 which I bought new from Black Chevrolet/Olds in Walterboro, South Carolina in April 1967. Have also owned several other Cutlasses and 442s along the way.

Welcome to the club! Tell us a little bit more about your 442 and post some pictures, when you have a chance. Maybe make a build thread so we can follow your progress.

Sounds like a real neat car and we can't wait to see the pics! It's nice that you have had it since new.

Been through Walterboro several times when I lived in Charleston and was on my way to visit friends in Jacksonville FL. Whereabouts in SE Georgia are you?

Almost 50 years ago when all this was happening. I am soon to retire from my post Navy job. My Olds is a factory W-30 and I should kick myself for not getting the build sheet from the dealer. I'll see if I have any pics when I get the chance. Bear with me. Lots of things on my plate right now. Thanks for your phone and email. Will be in touch.

Rare for any of use to get to chat with or see a car that an original driver/owner has. We are all excited to see it.

Welcome to this site. Lots of great folks here

Wow! Not very often it happens that we have a member who bought their original car and kept it. Most of us lament about the one that got away and wished it never happened. You must have planned ahead.
I don't think you would have been able to get the build sheet from the dealer. Maybe a copy of the order form, but the build sheet was a factory production item, and Lansing was fastidious about taking them out before the car left the factory.
You probably still have the original protecto plate, and that's really a valuable thing to establish provenance and ownership.

Yup, I agree with you 100%. That's why I said:

I'd also love to see what the protecto plate looks like. Nice looking car. Any shots of under the hood and interior?

I should get busy and start restoring my 67-W30... It's one of those projects that I keep saying I'll get to it some day, but yet it still sits in the back corner of my shop...

Very sweet vickycar, Saffron or a similar yellow has always been one of my favorite colors, with black or saddle tan interior. Thanks for the pics

Very nice car and pictures. It appears the oil fill tube is not 67 vintage, has the engine been replaced?
