Hey everyone,
Just bought a 65' Oldsmobile F-85 4 door. Its pristine looking in almost every way. 46,000 original miles on the V6 and 2 speed power-glide !
An old man bought it new and hardly drove it. He died within 8 years after buying the car and his son put it in storage for many years.
As the years went by, the son started restoring the car (where it needed it) and got it road worthy again.
The car is really like a time capsule.
Just replaced the original shocks from 65' and noticed how clean the frame is and the condition of the rubber bushings throughout the car. Really amazing..

Oops, I meant 45,000 miles..
The car had a small fender bender from the previous owners elderly mother. The front fender was replaced with stock sheet metal but the previous owner could not locate a F-85 emblem or headlight dogleg moulding. Looking in the engine bay the windshield fluid reservior is also missing. The horn is also not working (such fun).

That's pretty cool. I haven't seen a V6 in a very long time in an Oldsmobile. I bet you the rocket on the dash panel illuminates when you hit the high beams doesn't it? Nice car.

Thanks for the welcome! After 35 years of weaseling, I finally found and own a 67 Toronado. Settled for a 73 for a few years because of the low mileage, 33,000. Hope to syphon off info from everybody as much as possible in the times to come. Kinda funny The first Toronado I ever saw was a '67 in 1973.

Those odd fire V6's can really cook with V8 speed parts. Ran them in jeeps for years with alumimum intakes and holly 450 CFM 4 barrell. Buick pistons from 331 cub buick nail heads I think are the correct pistions. I will check and see if I still have build sheets.

The original was all leather/naugahide. It's a copy of the original's pattern. I wanted the burgundy velour to match the body. Everything else inside is black except the burgundy velour armrest pads. It's a standard model. There were only 1770 made in '67. So that pattern seems to be fairly uncommon.

Thanx Oldsguy. I've been trying to find out what I thought was a fairly simple curiosity. If you notice on the side fenders behind the front bumper, mine doesn't have the squared fake vents you see on most of this model year. I'm guessing it's because mine is a standard instead of the more common deluxe model. Would your local friend know?

hi new guy here , i am 36 married with 3 kids and love old cars , i have had several rods and a few oldsmobiles , i just traded for a 1963 olds 88 ,will post pics as soon as i get it this week but here is a cutlas i had a couple of years ago , this looks like a great sight with lots of knowledge

Hey guys new here... right now im working with my grandpa on a 71 442 w-30 that was my uncles, we just lost him back in aug. so my grandfather and i are going to finish what my unlce started this is what we have to work with.... sorry for the one side couldnt get to the other right now!!! might be asking some of you guys for help when we get stuck!! LOL

Hi there fellow Toro owner. The fake sqared vents you refer to are not that at all. They are the optional cornering light assemblies. The lenses are molded into a 3 segment lens with chrome fin caps on them. Like just about every other option, they could be ordered with or without the deluxe interior package. John

Im fresh fish I know. I have a 28 ford coupester with a 324 olds and hydro trans. Its a old hot rod that was built back in the early 60's.
Well that it. I put fresh paint on it and interior in it. The rest is the way it was when I found it. Thanks guys

Just wanted to introduce myself. I love the 442 I had a 68 400 4sp car and a 72 Cutlass Supreme. Hated to let them go, should have kept them.
Too little money then and not enough time.

i am new to computers.
olds fan for 20 years. i hope i am posting this correct. i have a 70 rallye 350, 91 Quad 442 W-41. it is car #9 of the 204. also have 70 vista and a 67 442. the 67 is most likely sold. just wanted to say hi.
