Power Steering Pump 1956 Olds 88

Just took delivery of a 1956 Olds 88 and discovered upon opening the hood that the nut holding the flywheel on the power steering pump was missing. It is 1/2 inch in size and has a fine thread. I have been unable to find a nut with a thread finer than 20 which is not fine enough for the shaft carrying the flywheel. Any ideas of a source for this? Thanks.

I don't remember that nut being an oddball but I never lost one so maybe. Have you taken the pump to a fastener store like Fastenall, some place that carries specialty bolts and nuts not Lowels and Home Depot type stores? Last resort a machine shop can ether make a nut or change the shaft to something standard.Best resort would be if someone on this board had a extra laying around and mailed it to you, many years have used the same pump might as well post it on the parts wanted forum...Tedd

Found it --- from a local in the restoration business. For others future reference it is a 21 thread so 1 unit finer than what is generally available at any of the hardware and specialty stores. Thanks. / pvb
