Hi,
Thanks for letting me in. My Dad is a big 50's and 60's full size Olds guy. But he doesn't
do computers. I joined to help him maybe unload some stuff. Plus I just got a 67 442 that I will post about in
another section.

Hi,
Unfortunately, it is more like what he used to have. I will see if I can come up with some old pics. I grew up getting hauled around in 98's and a Custom Cruiser wagon. Plus, there was always a 62 Starfire, 61 Starfire conv, Dynamic 88 wagon work car.....

Thanks. Unfortunately, this car is very rough and would be noting but a parts car. I have verified it to be an original
4sp 442 through info in another section. But it has a Pontiac engine, Saginaw trans, and a chevy rear. I am going through it now
to see what is salvageable.

Hello from Marylnad
Good day to you. Great forum. Looks like alot of great info. I have a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 403 and 350 BOP trans, not sure on gears somewhere around 3.43
Interested in maybe taking the old 4A heads off and trying to boost the comp ratio and cam. Like to cruise around, actually headed to Charlotte N.C. Good Guys car show this week with it. Should be a great time. I will be driving down and back. Made it to a Raleigh N.C. Good Guys show earlier this year, that was a great time. Hope to hit some of the shops down there.
Thanks.

DZee !
Welcome to the group. I too, am a new member here. Your dad has probably enjoyed his old cars.
So does your '72 have a 400 or 425 engine ?
I know nothing about the 442's but hopefully it will entertain you for Hours and $$$.
Hey "oldcutlass"
I had to chuckle when reading your thread, where you mention "there is nothing that cannot be solved with enough explosives" !
I had purchased a 1920 vintage home in Fortuna, California in the Redwood Forest, Pacific northwest just south of the town of Eureka. One afternoon in the summer of 2000, an old man walked up the driveway and introduced himself. He said his father had built the home in 1920, and when clearing the Old-Growth Redwood stumps with dynamite, there was One-stump that wouldn't budge. After increasing the "charge" several times, he said when that stump let-go, it blew up-hill completely over the two-story home and into the trees up above the home ! _ _ wish I could have seen that !
